Founded in 1978, the company began marketing its fragrances in the 1980s throughout the world, and in 1987, secured funding to purchase its own manufacturing facilities in Grasse, the worldwide "cradle of perfume." One of the best-selling fragrances offered by the house of Jeanne Arthes is Cobra, which sold millions of bottles in the 1980s and was re-released in a special edition to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the house, in 2008.
